Ponds Northwest carried out a complete renovation on this beautiful natural looking pond in Culcheth, Warrington, in 2024.

The customer already had an existing pond which he wanted renovating to increase both the size and depth. The original pond also had an island in the middle which the customer wanted removing. We carried out a substantial amount of groundwork on this pond renovation which included digging out the island and extending the boundaries of the pond along with extensive plant removal.

We created the natural look pond in Culcheth using York rockery stone and river gravel, then we added a pebbled beach area to the side.  An intake bay to the rear of the pond acts as a skimmer to remove the leaves and debris from the surface, helping to keep the water clean.

The team relined the pond with underlay and durable, rubber liner then re-pipped and reinstalled the customers existing filtration system.
