Spectacular raised contemporary Koi pond in Runcorn, Cheshire.

Our talented team of pond builders carried out this stunning transformation in Runcorn, in 2025.

The customer had an existing ground level pond in his garden which he wanting completely transforming. He had a very clear vision of what his dream pond would look like and contracted us in to bring his dream to life.

We started by digging out and expanding the original pond, increasing both its depth and width. That space became the foundation for a sleek, raised koi pond that now stands as a true centrepiece in the garden. The interior was fully fibre-glassed for durability and a clean finish.

We added a surrounding rill for aquatic plants, a large viewing window for that wow-factor, and three cascading water blades to complete the modern aesthetic. To enhance the look even further, we cladded the exterior in natural, stone-effect split-faced tiles. We also built a custom filter house to the side, finished in the same tile for a seamless look.

Behind the scenes, the pond runs on a top-tier filtration system: a ProfiDrum filter, a large bio chamber, two variable-speed pumps, and dual 80W amalgam UVs, all supplied by Quality Nishikigoi. It also features an automatic top-up system with a water purifier and an air source heat pump to support year-round feeding and optimal koi growth.
