Stunning Raised Contemporary Pond with Viewing Window – Built in 2024, Shrewsbury

In 2024, Ponds Northwest transformed an old railway sleeper pond into this stunning raised contemporary pond with a viewing window in Shrewsbury. The customer wanted a modern, durable upgrade, and we delivered a beautifully designed feature that enhances both the aesthetics and functionality of their outdoor space.

The pond features a high-quality fibreglass interior with a bottom drain, ensuring durability and easy maintenance. To enhance water quality and clarity, we reinstalled the customer’s existing filter while also upgrading the system with a larger bio-filter and skimmer, providing improved filtration and circulation.

For year-round enjoyment and optimal fish growth, we installed a heating system, allowing for consistent water temperatures and enabling feeding throughout the year. The exterior tiling of the pond build was carefully selected to seamlessly blend with the existing garden features, creating a harmonious and stylish finish.

This project perfectly showcases how a well-designed pond can transform a garden, offering a striking focal point while maintaining a healthy environment for aquatic life.
