In 2003, our expert pond builders installed this outstanding fully eco-scaped pond in Manchester

The Primary School in Manchester was looking to create a forestry area which could be used to teach the children about forestry and biodiversity. The amazing team at Ponds Northwest crafted a completely natural and fully eco-scaped environment using rubber liner for the base, York stone for the rockery and river gravel to create a natural bed, we also added fish.

There are no mechanics on the pond, it was designed and constructed to be a completely self-sustaining habitat, supporting a wide range of biodiversity and attracting various species including invertebrates, aquatic plants, fish, amphibians, various birds and dragonflies.

The school utilised the area around the pond wonderfully by adding some fantastic teaching huts for the children.
